Paint protection film is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a material highly resistant to abrasions and chemical agents. Nowadays, the PPF (Paint Protection Film) guarantees the best and most efficient protection for your car paint; in fact, thanks to its self-healing features, the film is able to get rid of scratches and micro-scratches caused on its surface using the sun heat or with the help of a thermal dryer. Moreover, thanks to its hydrophobic features, it eases the sliding of water for a long lasting cleaning and it reduces the number of washes for a good car maintenance.
The Scudo films are characterized by high resistance and duration, actually they last 10 years!
Scudo protective films are designed for new cars, with defect-free bodies. Their purpose is to preserve the car’s paintwork, helping to maintain the value of the vehicle over time.
Applying the film to car bodies that have deep scratches or stone marks compromises the final result. If your car has already traveled many kilometers, we recommend that you stop by our laboratory and have it examined by the technicians, in order to verify any defects present on the bodywork.
PPF film can also be applied on repainted cars. We recommend waiting at least 2-3 weeks after repainting, to ensure that the paint is completely dry and well adhered to the bodywork before proceeding with the application of the film.
Our PPF protective films have a 10-year warranty from the factory. However, their longevity also depends on how the car is used and maintained.
We offer a 2 years warranty as installers. The warranty covers the following damages:
The hydrophobic feature of the film lasts an average of 2-3 years, depending on usage and maintenance.
To maintain the hydrophobic effect for over 2 years, we suggest using our Nano-Detailing car wash maintenance service every 3-4 months. Additionally, clients who have applied our PPF can benefit from a special discount on this service with a fixed price of €80.
A car protected with PPF film stays clean longer and is easier to wash than one without protection.
All car wash systems can be used, but in the case of high-pressure washers, it is recommended to maintain a distance of at least 50-60 cm from the surface. Preferably, we recommend hand washing, possibly with steam, using products with a neutral pH.

We have inquired, and it is possible to include this service within the insurance plan. However, we recommend that you check with your insurance company first.
The film may be superficially damaged, but it will keep the underlying paint intact. In this case, the damaged portion of the film can be replaced with a new one.
The warranty does not cover damages caused by the customer or third parties.
